IPO Treasurer. Eileen Sandrock launched her career in the performing arts with a Bachelor of Music. Her passion for television has taken her from Vision Mixing and Video Editing, to Directing and now to her current position as the CEO of Sasani Africa.
In 2001 Sandrock joined MNET as the Supervising Producer of KTV, and later as Commissioning Editor of MNET. During this time, Eileen commissioned productions such as Carte Blanche, Big Brother, Skouspel, Egoli and Survivor, to name a few. In 2007, Sandrock moved on to becoming the Managing Director of Sasani Studios where she landed the Big Brother Africa contract and a number of daily soaps: Skeem Saam, Muvhango, Isidingo, The Wild, 7de Laan, Rhythm City and Scandal! Eileen is intimately involved in youth development and training: As the Chair of Television Production at AFDA, she regularly assists as an external examiner and assessor. Under her leadership, Sasani Africa secured the 8th position in the Media24 unlisted company CSI award, and in 2012 the 10th position in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies Awards for corporate social investment.
