Participate in Survey: Economic Impact Study to Address AV Industry Concerns Over DTIC Film and TV Incentives

AN ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY IS BEING CONDUCTED BY URBAN-ECON DEVELOPMENT ECONOMISTS ON THE EFFECTS THAT THE AMMENDED DTIC FILM AND TELEVISION INCENTIVE PROGRAMME (2023) IS HAVING ON THE SA FILM INDUSTRY.

The Western Cape Government Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) has appointed Urban-Econ Development Economists to conduct an Economic Impact Study of the 2023 amendments made to the DTIC’s Film and Television Production Incentive Programme. The objective of the study is to quantify the impact associated with the 2023 amendments to the Incentive Guidelines and compile recommendations as to how they can be improved to better serve the film industry.

As key industry players, we need your inputs. This is a request to assist the researchers (Urban-Econ Development Economists) in collecting the data they need.
