Alert Level 3 Filming Restrictions and Set Visits

Dear colleagues

We have been alerted that the Department of Labour are implementing set visits to review COVID protocols as we are considered a high-risk sector for super spreader events, especially in Gauteng. Please be extremely vigilant and we remind you that in Level 3 the limit on cast and crew reverts to a maximum of 75 people.

Regarding numbers on the shooting floor: the protocols currently advise no more than 37 people, however we are considering reverting to the initial guideline per the risk assessment, whereby numbers on the shooting floor should be calculated on the size of the shooting floor allowing for 1,5 square meters per person, so you may choose which option works best for you.

Please be sure to observe all the COVID-19 health and safety protocols, to have a medic and/or compliance officer on set, observe social distancing as far as possible, insist that masks be worn at all times other than for actors when shooting and ensure effective hand and working environment sanitisation. We’d hate your productions to be shut down or experience preventable infections.
