The IPO represents, protects and promotes the interests of independent South African film, television and digital media producers and, in turn, all who work in and are suppliers to the industry value chain.

Farewell Richard Nosworthy

A giant of our industry Richard Nosworthy has left us after a lengthy illness bourne with courage and good humour. A stalwart at the IPO for many years and a truly generous human who shared his knowledge and talent selflessly. We send our condolences and love to the Writers Guild of South Africa who were his industry home organisation, We will continue to benefit from the work that Richard did in drafting contracting between the WGSA and IPO. Besides the many hours he spent on strengthening the IPO as part of the EXCO and as a volunteer, he was the key driver behind the launch of the IPO newsletter five years ago and the revitalisation of our social media.
