IDC Launches Film Incentive Initiative Aimed At Youth

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) officially launched a new youth-focused film initiative at an information session held on 3 April 2025 in Parktown, Johannesburg. This exciting initiative is aimed at empowering young filmmakers by equipping them with the resources and tools needed to thrive both creatively and financially in the South African film industry.

The session marked the formal launch of the initiative and served to educate emerging filmmakers and media entrepreneurs about key market gaps that often affect funding readiness.
