OLSBERG SPI IMPACT STUDY ECONOMIC SURVEY

The Independent Producers Organisation (IPO) has commissioned Olsberg•SPI (SPI) to conduct an independent economic impact study of South Africa’s Film and Television Production Incentives. This study will evaluate how the programmes support the industry and identify opportunities for improvement. To support the study’s findings, you are invited to complete the below survey.

About the Survey

  • Covers the following incentives:
    • The South African Film and Television Production Incentive,
    • The South African Films and Television Co-Production Incentive,
    • The South African Emerging Black Filmmakers Incentive, and
    • The Foreign Film and Television Production and Post-Production Incentive.
  • Takes 15–20 minutes to complete
  • Responses are confidential and will be aggregated — they will not affect any future applications

The survey will take you chronologically through the four incentives, with sections for both successful and unsuccessful applications. If you select “No,” you’ll automatically skip to the next section. For multiple projects under the same incentive, please answer based on an average production experience.
