Durban International Film Festival 2025 Selections Announced

The Durban International Film Festival, one of Africa’s premier film events, returns from 17 to 27 July 2025 with its official project selection now announced.

With strong local and international representation, this year’s line-up includes a few standout projects from IPO members:

In the feature film category, Luke Rous produces Lucky Fish, directed by Josh Rous, while Helena Spring and Paul Buys are attached as producers on Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight.

In the short film category, Gabriella Blumberg produces Jordy Sank’s Amazeze (Fleas), Cait Pasengrouw produces B(l)ind the Sacrifice, and Shiefaa Hendricks produces Dears in the Headlights.

Additionally, three Cannes-selected African films will also be making their African premieres at DIFF 2025, speaking to the high calibre of this year’s selections.
