GRIFF: Celebrating Creativity, Innovation, and Filmmaking Excellence
The Garden Route International Film Festival (GRIFF), is a vibrant celebration of filmmakers, creative expression, education, cutting-edge technology, and media innovation. GRIFF is more than just a festival; it’s a dynamic platform that empowers both emerging and established filmmakers, fosters community engagement, and promotes learning through groundbreaking approaches.

A Cinematic Extravaganza for All
Step into a world of cinematic wonder at the Independent International Film Festival – an event that delivers exceptional films spanning various genres. From industry professionals to amateur enthusiasts, local talents to global cinephiles, the festival promises an immersive experience for everyone who loves the art of filmmaking.

Uniting Creativity and Industry
GRIFF is not just about films; it’s a convergence of networking, events, and activities that pulse with industry relevance. It allows engagement with like-minded individuals, participation in thought-provoking events, and one to immerse themselves in activities that define the heart of the filmmaking world.

Empowering the Future: The Producers Guild of South Africa (PGSA) takes centre stage.
The IPO hosted an engaging panel discussion regarding our move to establish the Producers Guild of South Africa. IPO Deputy Chairperson Jahmil XT Qubeka and Exco members Quinton Fredricks and Thami Ngubeni led the discussion, which was moderated by Ayanda Sibisi. The PGSA aims to establish a strong foundation for the industry’s growth by amplifying the collective voice of producers, enabling a more influential and cohesive industry narrative.

Our thanks to the GRIFF organisers for hosting us – we look forward to seeing you next year!
